Engineer: Sweet Heart Sweet Light has received critical acclaim. From a collected 38 reviews, the review website Metacritic gives the album a score of 81 out of 100, indicating "Universal Acclaim." Pitchfork's Ryan Dombal gave the album a "Best New Album" designation, calling it Pierce's most uplifting album of his career. In another positive review, BBC Music's Chris Lo wrote "For every diehard fan there's someone else wondering what all the fuss is about. Sweet Heart Sweet Light, Spiritualized's seventh studio album, isn’t going to change any of that." Lo concluded: "...it's a Spiritualized album, and a great one." Rob Hakimian also praised the album, writing "All ten of the songs here are grandiose and muscular in the great tradition of Spiritualized songs, doing away entirely with the fragility that cropped up on songs like "Death Take Your Fiddle" from their last album.
Producer: Acid Eaters (produced by Scott Hackwith) forms a musical tribute to the Ramones' 1960s favorites, and highlights the influence that garage rock bands like the Seeds or the Amboy Dukes, and better known bands such as the Beach Boys, the Who and the Rolling Stones (all of whom are covered in this album) had on their music.
Acid Eaters was not the first time that the Ramones had played or recorded cover songs. In the past, they had placed cover songs on almost every album to translate their favorite songs to the punk rock sound. Covers had always formed a minor part of the Ramones' act, and a version of Chris Montez's hit "Let's Dance" (written by and credited to Jim Lee) even appeared on their debut album. Other notable covers previously performed by the group include the Searchers' "Needles and Pins" (written by Sonny Bono and Jack Nitzsche, originally recorded by Jackie DeShannon), "Baby, I Love You" by the Ronettes, "Take It As It Comes" by the Doors, "Surfin' Bird" by the Trashmen, "California Sun" by the Rivieras (originally recorded by Joe Jones) and the Beach Boys' "Do You Wanna Dance?" (originally recorded by Bobby Freeman). Acid Eaters, however, was the first complete set of covers.
The Ramones promoted the album on the first-season episode "Bobcat" of the animated Cartoon Network talk show Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
Producer-Mixer: Beachwood Sparks “Make the Cowboy Robots Cry” EP featuring production by Scott Hackwith (Spiritualized, Ramones) and electronic whiz-kid Jimmy Tamborello (DNTEL/Figurine/The Postal Service). Dragging in elements of Spiritualized and The Velvet Underground (increasing the cosmic in their blend of “Cosmic American Music”), these may be their most wistful, beautiful songs yet.
Producer: Devoting a lifetime to music, he’s performed and written for a slew of bands up and down the West Coast. 2004 saw him join multi-platinum iconic Seattle luminaries The Presidents of the United States of America on guitar. He toured everywhere with the band and remained integral to 2008’s critically acclaimed These Are the Good Times People and Kudos to You! in 2014. During Spring 2016, he dove headfirst into penning ideas for what would become Andrew McKeag Band. It proved to be the right time to launch his next act.
In order to capture this vision, he enlisted the talents of drummer Charlie George and bassist John Krylow and recorded with producer Scott Hackwith [The Ramones] in downtown Los Angeles at Cassette Recordings. Immediately, they tapped into an indescribable and inimitable chemistry. “It was a really great experience,” says Andrew. “We all clicked in the studio and turned out the album quickly.”
Producer: Dig “Runt “ EP was Scott’s first official production. After years of bedroom lofi 4 tracking he was able to take his skills to into a professional studio. Only having 48hrs “Runt” became his bands calling card. It shot up the college charts and landed them opening slots for the Ramones, Rage Against the Machine and the Bad Brains.

The single "Believe" was played regularly on MTV's Buzz Bin. Reaching #19 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart and #34 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
Producer: Rademaker and Soda teamed up with Scott Hackwith to produce the group's first album, and GospelbeacH's debut, Pacific Surf Line, was released in October 2015. The combo's debt to the Grateful Dead and their interlocking guitar sound was clear, but by the time of their second record, 2017's Another Summer of Love, they had switched gears. With Soda behind the board again and keyboardist Jonny Niemann joining him, Rademaker and a wide range of friends, including vocalist Miranda Lee Richards, streamlined their jam band sound and displayed their deep knowledge of the pop teachings of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers while retaining their warm West Coast soul.
Producer: FaMR chose the Sigur Rós studio in Iceland to record 10 new songs with LA producer Scott Hackwith. The album, Höldum í átt að óreiðu” (Heading in the direction of Chaos) was released in 2010 and the band toured in Europe, enjoying a steadily increasing fan base.

Producer: Jack Dishel spent a solid portion of his young adulthood “in a miniskirt and tiara,” touring the world as lead guitarist for The Moldy Peaches. Following their disbanding, Dishel kept up the open-mindedness and ridiculous antics, only, instead of questionable attire, he incorporated them into a fleshed out solo project, Only Son – pop that will try literally anything once. Only Son’s first album “Drop to the Top” that was produced by Scott Hackwith (Ramones, Spiritualized) won Dishel two years of expansive touring, including dates with Regina Spektor.

A physical manifestation of "Ladies and Gentlemen we are floating in space”.
Creative Director: Spiritualized, teamed up with the acclaimed film director Jonathan Glazer to create a physical manifestation of the song “Ladies and Gentlemen, We Are Floating in Space.” This installation was housed in a cathedral-like space designed by Los Angeles-based Undisclosable. A series of material layers separate the frenetic environment of the Coachella music festival from the serene meditative headspace of the building’s interior. The outermost skin, a torqued trapezoid, is composed of an aluminum fabric, reflecting the sun’s rays, cooling the interior and serving as a beacon within Coachella’s expansive grounds. The inner skins exist primarily to further attenuate sound and light in order to provide an ostensibly blank canvas upon which sound and light are sculpted. The interior of the building is illuminated solely by five trapezoidal shafts of light, forming five 4’ x 7’ rectangles of light upon the floor of the space. Light and sound are fused, each light shaft containing and highlighting a different remixed stem of the Spiritualized track. Coupled with the warmth of the light, this invites the installation occupants to move between light shafts or even lie down within a bed of light and sound. The dark portions of the interior are filled with the remainder of the track, which is intermeshed with white noise, particularly at the perimeter. The architecture is a platform for the choreography of the light and sound installation, which is, in turn, a platform for the actions and emotions of the festival goers who occupied the space.
Composer/Creative director: Toby’s Secret Society came alive in a spectacular art performance created by Gary Baseman with choreography by Sarah Elgart, costumes by Swinda Reichelt, and music composed and directed by Scott Hackwith. Featuring Veritas, the Goddess of Dreams, the Princess of Secrets, the Sacred Magi, and the Wild Girls, the Baseman characters performed a special ritual that unveiled “Secrets and Truth.”
Composer: Follow Scotty Moore, an adventurous archaeologist, as he journeys to the farthest reaches of the Earth on a quest driven by the belief that the secrets of the past have yet to be revealed. Carefully preserved mummies and entombed skeletons are a link to ancient civilisations. Each episode presents a mystery to unravel, a life to understand, a world to explore and a death to reveal. But these long-hidden remains do not yield their secrets easily. Ancient tombs are protected by lush vegetation, inhospitable terrain, ever-changing weather, dangerous wildlife and man-made obstacles. The pursuit of mummies, and answers to the mysteries they raise, will take our adventurer to some of the most spectacular and remote places on the planet.
Composer: Buffalo Girls tells the story of two 8-year-old-girls, Stam and Pet, both professional Muay Thai prizefighters. Set in small villages throughout rural Thailand, the film chronicles these young girls' emotional and sometimes heartbreaking journey as they fight in small underground arenas to win prize-money to help provide for their families. After many months of rigorous training and a long schedule of fights, Stam and Pet fight each other for the 20 Kilo championship belt of Thailand and a cash prize that will change the winner's life forever.
